RESUMEN Calígula, el tercero de los emperadores romanos, gobernó desde el 18 de Marzo del 37 hasta el 24 de Enero del 41. Se ganó el odio de la aristocracia, y de él se ha dicho que cometió auténticas locuras. Sin embargo, posteriormente se ha barajado la hipótesis de que quizás no estaba tan loco como parece.
El objetivo de este trabajo es dar a conocer las diferentes hipótesis, y, finalmente, tratar de responder a la pregunta: Calígula, ¿pessimus princeps?
ABSTRACT Caligula, the third of the roman emperors, ruled from 18th March of 37 to 24th January of 41. He won the aristocracy’s hatred. Of it has been said that he committed real follies. However, later it has been thought the hypothesis that, perhaps, he was not as crazy as it seems.
The objective of this work is to show the different hypotheses, and, finally, try to answer the question: Caligula, ¿pessimus princeps?
