In the WIND-FLEX project a very high bit rate, up to 100 Mbit/s payload at network level, adaptive modem architecture for wireless indoor communications is to be designed, developed and demonstrated. In this paper we describe potential WIND-FLEX scenarios and justify the adopted joint adaptive strategies in baseband, RF/IF and network architectures aiming at dynamic optimization of the system performance in the presence of timevarying channel conditions, traffic loading and QoS requirements.es_ES
