dc.description.abstractIn this paper, the design and performance of a Ka band balanced mixer and a frequency multiplier (X5), using fin-line technology and commercially available low cost diodes, are described. The mixer achieves conversion losses less than 10 dB over a 26.5 – 31.25 Ghz frequency range and exhibits excellent LO to RF isolation (>35dB), handling IF frequencies up to 10 GHz. The frequency multiplier (X5) conversion losses are less than 25 dB and all the harmonic signals remain at least 22 dB below the carrier.es_ES
