Percepción social de la educación. Algunos enfoques y propuestas para su dulcificación

Abstract

RESUMEN En los últimos años ha aumentado la preocupación por la imagen social de la educación. Una parte de la sociedad opina que la educación no da respuestas adecuadas a sus necesidades y, por lo tanto, comienza a desconfiar de ella. Aquí analizaremos algunos de los aspectos que han propiciado que la valoración de la institución escolar no sea todo lo positiva que a nuestro juicio debería ser, y además intentaremos aportar algunas propuestas de mejora.

ABSTRACT In recent years there has been an increased concern with the social image of education. Some advocate that education is not giving adequate responses to society´s essential needs and, as such, people are increasingly losing their belief in it. Here (in the following thesis) we will discuss some of the issues that have led to a less than positive assessment of the school as an institution, and, at the same time, we will also try to provide some proposals for improvement.
