La enseñanza de la auditoría de cuentas a través del aprendizaje orientado a proyectos

Abstract

RESUMEN: En este trabajo se estudia la aplicación de la metodología de enseñanza activa del Aprendizaje Orientado a Proyectos (AOP) en el ámbito de la Contabilidad, en particular, de la asignatura de Auditoría de cuentas de 4º curso del Grado de Administración y Dirección de Empresas de la Universidad de Cantabria. El objetivo que se plantea es el estudio de la utilidad de aplicar esta metodología de enseñanza activa en la asignatura, ya mencionada, Auditoría de cuentas. Para la realización de este estudio, se trabaja con los datos obtenidos a través de una encuesta realizada a una muestra formada por un total de 137 estudiantes de esta asignatura, una vez finalizada. El estudio se centra en conocer la opinión de los estudiantes acerca de aplicar el AOP, diferenciándolos por sexo, experiencia profesional, nota de la asignatura y nota media de grado. Y ver así, si existen diferencias significativas en las distintas opiniones. Los resultados obtenidos ponen de manifiesto que todos los estudiantes están satisfechos con la aplicación de esta metodología, con independencia del sexo, la nota que han sacado en la asignatura, la nota media del grado, y si tienen o no experiencia profesional. Opinan que ha ayudado a mejorar sus capacidades y su aprendizaje. Además, la consideran una metodología, sobre todo, divertida e interesante. Se considera que estos resultados pueden tener importantes implicaciones en el ámbito académico, ya que pueden servir de base para la aplicación de este tipo de aprendizaje en diferentes asignaturas de la docencia universitaria.

ABSTRACT: This paper explores the application of active teaching methodology of Project Oriented Learning (AOP) in the field of accounting, in particular, the course Audit of Accounts, which is taught in senior year of the Business Management and Administration degree in the University of Cantabria. The goal that arises is the study of the utility of applying this methodology of active teaching in the course mentioned, Audit of Accounts. To carry out this study, the data used was obtained through a survey made to a sample made up of a total of 137 students of the Audit of Accounts course, once the course had ended. The study focuses on getting to know the opinion of students about the application of AOP, differentiating them by gender, professional experience, grade obtained in the course and average grade of the degree. This is done in order to see if there are significant differences in the various opinions. The results obtained have shown that all the students are satisfied with the implementation of this methodology, regardless of gender, the grade they have obtained in the course, the average grade of the degree, and whether or not they have professional experience. They believe that it has helped them to improve their skills and learning. In addition, they consider it, above all, an amusing and interesting methodology. It is considered that these findings may have important implications in the academic field, since they can form the basis for the implementation of this type of learning in different subjects of University teaching.
