Evidencias arqueológicas y epigráficas en la vía romana de Segisamo a Portus Blendium

Abstract

RESUMEN: el presente trabajo pretende recoger todas las evidencias arqueológicas y epigráficas que se han documentado a lo largo de la vía romana que unía la ciudad de Segisamo, actual Sasamón (Burgos), y Portus Blendium, que los investigadores tienden a localizar en Suances (Cantabria). En el recorrido se pondrá de manifiesto la variedad de estructuras arqueológicas e inscripciones romanas que suele asociarse a este tipo de vías de comunicación. La cronología abarca de principios del siglo I a fines del siglo IV.

ABSTRACT: The aim of this project is to collect all the archaeological and epigraphic evidence that have been documented along the Roman road that linked the city of Segisamo, current Sasamón (Burgos), and Portus Blendium, which researchers tend to locate in Suances (Cantabria). The route will reveal the variety of archaeological structures and Roman inscriptions that are often associated with this type of communication pathways. The chronology covers the beginning of the 1st century at the end of the 4th century.
