ABSTRACT: This article speaks about the situation in China at the end of the 18th century, the politics, economics and society situation in China under the rule of Qing dynasty. In addition, we can read about the problematic around the interest of England in the colonization of China, the motivation of this continuous wars and how the western powers developed it.
This wars and the successive economic domain had several consequences in the Chinese society, one of the several revolutions, the Taiping revolution, occurred due to desperation of the population, poverty and bad conditions in some places in the Chinese empire. However, Qing`s were saved by England, because they already had this dynasty subdued and great conditions Treated in Tianjin.
After this, The Chinese Empire was unable to take westerns customs and teachings in order to modernize themselves due to their ancient pride and their old customs, which let they in the lowest politic position in the Asian continent, after being advanced by Japan and their quick evolution.
