Post-processing of optical fibre materials provides a powerful means of manipulating the characteristics of the guided light, opening up opportunities and facilities in dispersion engineering enhancement of optical nonlinearities, mode conversion and spectral filtering, among other properties. Three different possibilities for post-processing optical materials based on two principal methodologies (Thermo-mechanical and light post-processing) are included in this work.es_ES
