Elementos audiovisuales como recurso didáctico en el aprendizaje de una segunda lengua

Abstract

RESUMEN: El inglés es plenamente reconocido como el idioma más importante del mundo hoy en día. Desde hace décadas, una de las mayores preocupaciones del sistema educativo es tratar de formar a las nuevas generaciones en el uso del inglés. Se presenta ante nosotros, los maestros, un reto, y no es otro que saber adaptar nuestros métodos a los tiempos actuales gobernados por el uso de las TIC. En el presente texto trataré de mostrar en primera instancia la importancia del inglés y su desarrollo a lo largo de la historia. A continuación haré un breve análisis de la evolución en los métodos educativos utilizados en el aula de idiomas y por último desarrollaré mi investigación. En esta investigación hablaré sobre la influencia que han tenido la aparición de las nuevas tecnologías en el aula de inglés, las ventajas y desventajas de su uso, así como el papel del maestro y los diferentes tipos de herramientas audiovisuales que podemos utilizar los docentes para impartir clases más eficientes, significativas y entretenidas.

ABSTRACT: Nowadays English is recognized as the most important language in the world. For decades, one of the biggest concerns of the education system is to try to train new generations in the use of English. We as teachers have a challenge, which is to adapt our methods to ICT. In this text I try to show at first the importance of English and its development throughout history. Then I will make a brief analysis of the evolution in educational methods used in the language classroom and finally I will develop my investigation. In this research I will talk about the influence that new technologies have had in the English classroom and also the advantages and disadvantages of their use. Also I will discuss the role of the teacher and explain the different types of audiovisual tools that we can use in the class to teach in a more efficient, useful and attractive way.
