Fondos fotográficos marinos del Museo Marítimo del Cantábrico

Abstract

El Museo Marítimo del Cantábrico, localizado entre el promontorio de San Martín y la playa de los Peligros, forma parte del frente marítimo de la ciudad de Santander junto a su bahía. Se trata de un punto en el que confluye el entorno natural y humano, siendo su concepto y finalidad museográfica el estudio integrado entre el hombre, la naturaleza y la tecnología marina. Posee un alto valor y una interesante diversidad de fondos patrimoniales, agrupados éstos en cuatro grandes secciones: Biología Marina, Etnografía Pesquera, Historia y Tecnología. El objetivo general de este Trabajo Fin de Máster es aportar una propuesta de reordenación y clasificación para su posterior catalogación, de unos fondos fotográficos relacionados con embarcaciones de guerra y pesca, nacionales e internacionales. El periodo de tiempo que abarcan estos fondos es desde finales del siglo XIX hasta los años 70 del siglo XX y siendo los mismos donaciones hechas al Museo por personas desconocidas

ABSTRACT The Maritime Museum of Cantabria, located between the promontory of San Martin and Peligros Beach, is part of the waterfront city of Santander with its bay. This is a point that comes together the natural and human environment, and its concept and museological purpose integrated study between man, nature and marine technology. It has a high value and an interesting variety of equity thoroughs, grouped them into four main sections: Marine Biology, Fishing Ethnography, History and Technology. The general objective of this Final Master Project is to provide a proposal for reorganization and classification for subsequent cataloging, about photographic thoroughs related to warships and fishing, national and international. The time period covered by these thoroughs is from the late nineteenth century to the 70s of the twentieth century and being them donations made to the Museum by unknown people
