Leer un clásico. Sotileza de Pereda en las aulas de Secundaria

Abstract

RESUMEN: La lectura de los clásicos por parte de los alumnos de Secundaria constituye, en la actualidad, un reto indiscutible. Sin embargo, disponemos de algunas herramientas que pueden llegar a facilitar ese encuentro entre el discente y la obra. Por un lado, las ediciones didácticas que se enfocan a un estudio del texto partiendo de su propia comprensión y de una propuesta de actividades que pueda despertar el interés del joven lector, así como ayudarlo a desmenuzar el sentido del mismo. Por otro lado, elegir autores y obras, que por un motivo concreto, colaboren en este acercamiento a la lectura. En este sentido, y teniendo en cuenta el factor geográfico, proponemos como modelo al escritor cántabro, José María de Pereda y a una de sus obras más famosas, Sotileza. El siguiente estudio es una invitación a analizar el alcance de la edición didáctica, de la elección de un autor regional y finalmente, pretende una breve propuesta didáctica que sirva como esbozo de una futura edición de la obra para alumnos de Educación Secundaria.

ABSTRACT: reading of the classics by the students of Secondary School represents today, an undoubted challenge. However, we have some tools which can make that encounter between the student and the writing easier. On the one hand, the didactic editions that focus on a study of the text starting from its own comprehension and from an activity proposal that can awaken the interest of the young reader, as well as help him to crumble the meaning of it. On the other hand, to choose authors and works, that for a main reason collaborate in this approach to reading. In this sense, and bearing in mind of geografhic aspect, the Cantabrian writer, José María de Pereda, and one of his famous works, Sotileza, are suggested as a model. The following study is an invitation to analyze the reach of the didactic edition, of the choice of a regional author and finally, it intends a brief didactic proposal that serves as an outline of a future edition of the work for Secondary School students.
