El concepto de calentamiento global y la enseñanza de las ciencias medioambientales en educación primaria

Abstract

RESUMEN Diferentes estudios sobre el calentamiento global y el cambio climático han centrado sus investigaciones en demostrar y explicar cómo se produce este fenómeno, quienes son los responsables, las consecuencias y evidencias del mismo y las medidas que se han tomando a nivel internacional para intentar mitigar sus efectos sobre el medio ambiente. Además, se indica en qué medida la actividad antropogénica ha contribuido a la acentuación del problema. Para finalizar, es necesario analizar como nuestro sistema educativo actual aborda la enseñanza de las ciencias naturales y/o ambientales. Por un lado, para conocer el grado de participación y la concepción que el alumnado tiene sobre las mismas. Por otro lado, para diseñar nuevas estrategias y propuestas creativas que motiven a los alumnos a interesarse por su aprendizaje, ya que el conocimiento de las ciencias nos ayuda a comprender los problemas ambientales y a reaccionar ante ellos.

ABSTRACT Different studies about the global warming and the climate change have focused their research on demonstrate and explain how this phenomenon occurs, who are responsible, the main consequences and evidences thereof or the different measures that have been taken by international governments to try to reduce its effects on the environment. In addition, it explains how the human activity has contributed to the growth of the problem. To conclude, it is necessary to analyse our educational system and how the teaching of the natural and environmental sciences are addressed in the classroom, since teachers must know the degree of student participation and the idea that students have about the same. Besides, it is very important to design new creative strategies which motivate pupils to be interested in their learning process, since the knowledge of sciences helps us to understand environmental problems and react to them.
