La literatura infantil como medio de prevención del abuso sexual infantil

Abstract

RESUMEN: El maltrato infantil y, especialmente, el abuso sexual a menores, es un fenómeno que siempre ha estado presente y, quizás, hoy en día se detecta en mayor medida, aunque no lo suficiente. La trascendencia de tratar este tema y formular métodos de prevención no solo recae en el número de niños y adolescentes que pueden verse afectados, si no, también, en la dificultad de su detección, así como, en la gravedad de sus consecuencias. Existen abundantes recursos y programas para prevenir el maltrato y el abuso sexual infantil en la etapa de Educación Primaria. Sin embargo, escasean los dirigidos a la Educación Infantil. Es por ello que el objetivo de este trabajo es elaborar un programa de prevención de abuso sexual para intervenir con este grupo de edad.

ABSTRACT: Child mistreatment and, especially, child sexual abuse, is a phenomenon that has always been present and even though today it is detected to a greater extent, but it is not enough. The importance of dealing with this issue and formulate prevention methods not only lies in the number of children and teenagers who may be affected, but in the difficulty of its detection, as well as in the severity of their consequences. There are many resources and programs to prevent mistreatment and child sexual abuse at the stage of primary education. However, those aimed at early childhood education are scarce. Therefore, the aim of this project is to develop a sexual abuse preventive program to intervene in this age group.
