El Camino de Santiago por tierras de Castilla y Campos: una vía de intercambio en la España medieval (siglos X-XIV)

Abstract

RESUMEN El presente trabajo ofrece al lector una breve muestra del Camino de Santiago mostrando su perspectiva más general para después terminar en una concreta la economía en un tramo, en el del Camino por tierras de Castilla y Campos. Para ello se describe mediante diversas fuentes medievales cómo fue el génesis de este Camino y su evolución en el transcurso de la Edad Media, con la consiguiente propaganda que lo acompañó para darlo a conocer en Europa. En segundo lugar hablaremos de los peregrinos y las peregrinaciones, que ayudaran a forjar el Camino y desarrollar una economía. Finalmente mostraremos como era el Camino por Castilla y Tierra de Campos, cómo eran las ferias y mercados que encontramos en estos ámbitos y su relación con las políticas repobladoras de los reyes siendo el principal Alfonso X, el marco legal y la importancia que el Camino ofreció a todas las villas integradas en esa importante vía de intercambio.

ABSTRACT The current document offers a brief sample to the reader of the Camino de Santiago showing his general perspective to finish in one it makes concrete the economy in a section of the Camino de Santiago, Castilla and Tierra de Campos. It is described by means of diverse medieval sources since it was the origin of this way and his evolution in the course of the Middle Ages with the advertising that it compains to announce Europe. Secondly we will speak about the pilgrims and pilgrimages to help to creat the Camino and develop an economy. Finally we will show how was it the Camino for Castilla and Tierra de Campos, how was it the fairs and markets that we find in this section were and in less measure to see since these were related to the repopulating policies of the kings principally Alfonso X, legal framework and the importance of Camino de Santiago on the village on the way for the trade rout
