El papel del ejército romano en la transición de la República al Imperio: la Legio X como paradigma

Abstract

RESUMEN El presente trabajo tiene como propósito analizar la importancia del ejército en el devenir histórico de Roma y su papel en uno de sus momentos clave: el nacimiento del Imperio Romano. Para ello se presentará la organización y estructura de las legiones, su relevancia en la política en la etapa final de la República y como ejemplo paradigmático, la historia de la mítica Legio X y su protagonismo.

ABSTRACT This paper aims to analyze the importance of the army in the historical development of Rome and its role in one of its key moments: the birth of the Roman Empire. To this end, the organization and structure of the legions, its importance in politics in the final stage of the Republic and as a paradigmatic example, the story of the mythical Legio X and its role, will be presented.
