RESUMEN:Torrelavega a comienzos del siglo XX se había convertido en uno de los principales núcleos industriales del norte de España gracias a la abundancia de materias primas y a su excelente localización geográfica. Ello atrajo a numerosos trabajadores de distinto nivel. En este trabajo se analiza el sector de los trabajadores cualificados, con especial atención a sus características sociodemográficas

ABSTRACT: At the beginning of the 20th century Torrelavega had become in one of the main industrial cores of the north of Spain thanks to the great number of raw materials and its great excellent geographical location. This attracted a large amount of workers of different levels. In this study, we analyse the qualified workers sector, with special attention to their social and demographical characteristics.
