RESUMEN: Es importante tener en cuenta, que independientemente de la especialidad que queramos llevar a cabo como docentes, (Matemáticas, Lengua y Literatura, Música…) también seremos designados tutores de un grupo de alumnos durante varios años de nuestra carrera profesional. Desde la tutoría, se trabajan aspectos como: orientación profesional y académica, estrategias de aprendizaje, atención a la diversidad y el desarrollo personal y social del alumnado, etc. por lo tanto, el profesor de secundaria, tendrá que formarse no sólo en conocimientos específicos de su materia, sino también deberá procurar adquirir conocimientos relativos a la tutoría que le permitan desarrollar la acción tutorial de una forma correcta. En el presente trabajo, trato de acercarme a la situación actual de las tutorías de Secundaria de Cantabria, la importancia que los profesores tutores le dan a su trabajo, la formación que han recibido para afrontar la mencionada tarea y la satisfacción con la que la realizan.
ABSTRACT: It’s very important, that independently of the specialty we want to carry out as teachers, (Maths, Language, Music…) we also will be a tutor of many pupils during our professional career. From the tutoring, different aspects are worked: professional and academic orientation, learning strategies, attention to diversity, and the personal and social developing of the students. Therefore, the Secondary School teachers, must be trained not only in specific contents about their subject but in other contents about tutoring, as well so that they can perform a correct tutorial action. In this project, I try to get close to the current situation of the tutoring in Secondary Schools in Cantabria, the importance the tutors give to their job, the training they had received to confront this task and the satisfaction with they make it.
