El habla pasiega, una variedad en peligro de extinción

Abstract

RESUMEN España es un país plurilingüe y pluridialectal. Sin embargo, la valoración y el análisis de esta realidad aparecen un tanto invisibilizados en la enseñanza, puesto que en algunas ocasiones no se le da la importancia que requiere. Este es uno de los motivos de nuestro trabajo, además de centrarnos y dar a conocer una variedad lingüística concreta y un tanto desconocida de nuestra región, como es el habla pasiega. Para ello, hemos realizado una fundamentación teórica donde empezamos revisando el concepto de variación lingüística, en concreto, la geográfica, y estableciendo la diferencia entre conceptos como lengua y dialecto, así como señalando las principales variaciones dialectales del territorio español. A continuación, cerramos más nuestro ámbito de trabajo y nos centramos en el dialecto montañés y en concreto, en el habla pasiega, tratando de desarrollar algunos de sus rasgos principales y de la cultura de esta comarca cántabra. Por último, dedicaremos un apartado a establecer una relación entre estos conceptos y la materia de Lengua Castellana y Literatura (LCL), con el fin de justificar nuestra propuesta didáctica sobre el “mundo pasiego”.

ABSTRACT Nowadays, Spain is a multilingual and multidialectal country. However, the assesment and rewiew of this reality is quite invisible within the education field, because sometimes we don’t give it the importance it has. This is one of the main aims of our study, apart from focusing on the “pasiego” speech, a specific linguistic variety quite unknown in our region. In order to do that, we have elaborated a theoretical frame where we will analyse the concept of language variety, specially the geographical one, and where we will make a difference between “language” and “dialect”. We will also point out the main dialectal variations in the country. Secondly, we will concentrate on our field by focusing on the “pasiego” speech, its main features, and the cultural aspects that surround it. Finally, we will dedicate a part of our study to establish a link between our issue and the subject Spanish Language and Literature, in order to justify our didactics project about the “pasiegos” world.
