Culturizando el inglés mediante las TIC: el aprendizaje de segundas lenguas basado en proyectos

Abstract

RESUMEN En el presente trabajo se intenta desarrollar y exponer un ejemplo de Aprendizaje Basado en Proyectos para alumnos de 1er curso de Educación Secundaria Obligatoria del Programa Bilingüe. Además, se incluirán las Tecnologías de la Información y la Comunicación (TIC) y el Aprendizaje Cooperativo (AC). Este proyecto trata de que los alumnos, en equipos, se pongan en la piel de agentes de viajes elaborando una exposición del viaje ofertado y un folleto del mismo para convencer a la audiencia de que el viaje que ofrece su agencia es mejor que el que ofrecen las demás. Mediante este proyecto los alumnos mejorarán en varios aspectos que les servirán para su futuro además de aprender los contenidos establecidos para el curso. Dejando a un lado las clases magistrales, serán los alumnos los que dirijan la organización y las decisiones que conlleva su propio proyecto en conjunto con los demás compañeros. Una vez puesto en práctica, se ha visto que está bien aceptado y funciona según lo previsto con algunos aspectos a tener en cuenta en futuras prácticas para la mejora de esta. Sin embargo, los alumnos lo han recibido como una actividad buena y entretenida que conlleva trabajo y decisiones en equipo, lo que fomenta el compañerismo y la cooperación.

ABSTRACT The following essay tries to develop and expose an example of Project-Based Learning for 1st of ESO students of the Bilingual Program. In addition, the Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) and the Cooperative Learning (CL) will be included. This essay deals with students who, in teams, will put themselves in the travel agents’ skin developing an exhibition of the offered trip and a leaflet of the same to convince the audience that the trip they offer is better than the others. By means of this essay, the students will improve in several aspects which will serve them for their future, besides learning the contents established for the course. Leaving aside the magisterial classes, students will be the ones that direct the organization and the decisions their own projects entails as a whole with the other classmates of the team. Once put into practice, it has been reported that it is well accepted and that it works according to the expected with some aspects to bear in mind in future practices for the improvement of these ones. Nevertheless, the students have received it as a good and entertaining activity which involves work and decisions in teams and that promotes the comradeship and cooperation.
