Arte Sonoro: aproximación al concepto y su importancia en la educación

Abstract

RESUMEN El Arte Sonoro es un arte contemporáneo que fusiona distintos lenguajes artísticos y donde el sonido es conductor y eje principal de la obra. Debido a este carácter intermedia (fusión de lenguajes), sus artistas no son principalmente, ni necesariamente, músicos, incluso, la mayoría provienen de diferentes disciplinas. Este arte nació en los años sesenta como una experimentación musical que intentaba explorar todas posibilidades del sonido, pero no fue hasta los años ochenta cuando, por fin, se clasificaron estas obras como Arte Sonoro. A lo largo de las últimas décadas, ha ido evolucionando y teniendo más peso en el mundo del arte, la sociedad e incluso la escuela. Durante los últimos cinco años, algunos artistas y docentes han comenzado a tener curiosidad sobre la posibilidad de llevar esta disciplina artística al aula. Su intención ha sido utilizar las herramientas que ofrece el Arte Sonoro para realizar actividades y proyectos basados en la escucha y el sonido. Su principal objetivo es que el alumnado sea consciente de los sonidos que le rodean y de los que el mismo produce. Aunque este tipo de proyectos, actualmente, no son muy comunes en los centros educativos, su número ha aumentado desde hace dos años.

ABSTRACT Sound Art is a contemporaneous art that merges different artistic languages in which the sound is the conductive and the main axis of the work. Due to this intermediate nature (languages merger), their artists are neither primarily nor necessarily musicians, even the most majority of them come from different fields. This art was born in the 70s as a musical experimentation which tried to explore all sound odds, even though it was not till 80s when, finally, these works were classified as Sound Art. Over the last decades, it has been evolving and having greater weight in the art world, society and even in school. During the las five years, some artists and lecturers have started to be curious about the probability of taking this artistic discipline into the classroom. Their intention has been using the tools that Sound Art offers in order to conduct activities and projects based on listening and the sound. Their main aim is that students are aware of the surrounding sounds and the one themselves produce. Although these kind of project currently are not so common on educational centres, there is evidence showing it has increased for two years.
