Formación intercultural del profesorado de Educacion Infantil

Abstract

RESUMEN La gran cantidad de extranjeros que han llegado a España en los últimos años es algo que no se puede obviar. Por ello, la educación intercultural debe ser una forma de educar en todas las escuelas, siendo necesario que todos los profesionales de la educación reciban una buena formación inicial y continua sobre este tema. Este trabajo investiga cómo es esta formación en Cantabria para el profesorado de la etapa de educación infantil, haciendo una revisión de la literatura que permite ver el estado en cuestión del tema y su importancia, formulando objetivos, preguntas de investigación y eligiendo la metodología que se adecúe mejor a los intereses del mismo, así como realizando encuestas y entrevistas a docentes de educación infantil que recogen datos sobre su formación y opinión en este tema.

ABSTRACT In recent years, a large number of foreigners have immigrated to Spain, a reality which cannot be ignored. Therefore, intercultural education should become part of the curriculum in every single school. thereby necessitating both initial and on-going training for every education professional on this topic. This research project explores this initial and on-going training in Cantabria for early childhood education professionals through a review of the literature to understand both the importance and state of the matter. Furthermore, aims and research questions have been formulated, along with appropriate research methodology, resulting in a series of interviews and surveys with teachers in the field of early childhood education in order to collect data on their training and opinions on the topic.
