La fotografía y las fuentes orales como documentos históricos: el Incendio de la ciudad de Santander de 1941

Abstract

RESUMEN Este informe profesional ofrece un estudio sobre el patrimonio fotográfico y las fuentes orales como documentos históricos en el contexto del incendio de Santander de 1941, abriendo las puertas a una futura investigación más extensa. La ejecución del mismo se ha podido llevar a cabo gracias a la realización de las prácticas externas en el Centro de Documentación de la Imagen de Santander (CDIS); y a la participación dentro del Proyecto “75 Aniversario del Incendio de Santander”. De este modo, por un lado, nos encontramos ante una descripción de la institución, y un análisis del protocolo de trabajo ejecutado en un archivo fotográfico; y, por otro lado, una reflexión en relación al tema que titula este trabajo, tomando como referencia el incendio que cambió la ciudad.

ABSTRACT This professional report offers a study about photographic heritage and oral sources as historical documents in the context of the Fire of Santander in 1941, opening up the possibility to deeper future research on the matter. Thanks to the external practice developed in the Centro de Interpretación de la Imagen de Santander (Center of the Image Documentation of Santander, CDIS); and to the participation in the Project “75th Anniversary of the Fire in Santander” we have been able to carry this out. This way it shows us, on the one hand, a description of the institution, and an analysis of the way to work with a photographic archive; and, on the other hand, a reflection respect to the subject title of this Project, taking as a reference how the fire changed the city.
