La evolución política en las ciudades castellanas desde el siglo XI hasta el siglo XIV.

Abstract

RESUMEN Este trabajo pretende recoger los aspectos fundamentales de la evolución política de las ciudades de Castilla entre los siglos XI y XIV. En primer lugar, se analizará el nacimiento de las ciudades y su motivo, la formación de su gobierno concejil y el surgimiento simultáneo de una nueva sociedad, el patriciado urbano. A continuación, se estudia el intervencionismo regio en el gobierno de las ciudades a través de dos reyes; Alfonso X y Alfonso XI. Estos intentarán mantener el control del gobierno de las ciudades, y tendrán que mantener un diálogo con el patriciado urbano, que será el que domine, a lo largo de estos siglos, la política de la ciudad. Por último, se estudia brevemente el ejemplo de esta evolución política en capital de Castilla; Burgos.
