Memoria de prácticas en la galería de arte Juan Silió

Abstract

RESUMEN: En las siguientes páginas se tratará de ofrecer un recorrido general tanto por la historia de la Galería Juan Silió (Santander, Cantabria) como por las actividades que ésta lleva a cabo en la actualidad, añadiendo la serie de tareas realizadas por el alumno entre el 2 de febrero y el 8 de mayo de 2015. Con este Trabajo de Fin de Grado se busca mostrar la aplicación práctica de los conocimientos adquiridos durante el curso académico y dentro de la propia institución, dando forma a un proyecto profesional que recoja todos los datos de interés desprendidos del período de prácticas. Estos datos responden a los muy diversos ámbitos en los que una galería de arte debe manejarse para llevar a cabo su labor: selección de artistas, almacenamiento y gestión de obras, organización de exposiciones y ferias y contacto con proveedores y clientes, entre otros. Por lo tanto, se buscará explicar de qué forma las prácticas llevadas a cabo en la Galería Juan Silió han contribuido a la formación del estudiante, añadiendo competencias y experiencia en este primer acercamiento al mercado laboral especializado. Así mismo, se realizará una valoración general de la institución y de la propia actividad desempeñada por el alumno durante estos meses.

ABSTRACT: In the next pages we will be offered an overview of the history of Galería Juan Silió (Santander, Cantabria), as well as of its latest activities, adding the number of tasks performed by the student between 2 February and 8 May 2015. The goal of this final project is to showcase the practical applications of the knowledge acquired during the academic year and in the gallery itself, shaping a professional project that gathers up all the valuable material produced during the instruction period. These materials are the result of the diverse activities in which a gallery has to work in order to be succesful: artists selection, storage and management of artworks, setting up of exhibitions and fairs, contacting suppliers and clients and more. Therefore, the next pages will show how this period of instruction in Galería Juan Silió has contributed to the education and training of the student, adding skills and experience through this first touch with the specialized labour market. At the same time, a review of the institution and the period itself will be shown.
