Prácticas externas en el Museo Marítimo del Cantábrico

Abstract

RESUMEN: Este Trabajo de Fin de Master es la memoria escrita de la realización de mis prácticas en el Museo Marítimo del Cantábrico (MMC) que formaban parte del Máster de Patrimonio Histórico y Territorial ofrecido por la Universidad de Cantabria. Por lo tanto en él se pueden apreciar las diferentes tareas que he llevado a cabo en el Museo Marítimo del Cantábrico. Además de la tarea programada para las prácticas, aparecen reflejadas otras de carácter secundario pero también importantes para un museo. Por otro lado están incluidos otros aspectos como los objetivos para estas prácticas, así como aspectos relacionados con la propia entidad, como su historia y su estructuración. Todos estos datos han sido organizados dentro de una serie de apartados para un mejor seguimiento y comprensión de los mismos por parte del lector. De esta forma podemos encontrarnos primeramente con unas breves nociones sobre el Museo Marítimo del Cantábrico, seguidas de las tareas realizadas en el mismo, tanto la original de catalogar un fondo cartográfico, como las secundarias de reorganización y ordenamiento. En cuanto a las tareas realizadas podemos ver que el proceso de catalogación es el más desarrollado, ya que en él se especifican detalles de como ha sido esa catalogación, así como de las dificultades y particularidades con las que un catalogador tiene que lidiar. Para concluir podemos ver una serie de conclusiones sobre estas prácticas acompañadas con unos anexos fotográficos.

ABSTRACT: In this essay I show the work that I had done as training in the Maritime Museum of Cantabria (MMC) that were part of the Master of Historic and Territorial Heritage offered by the University of Cantabria. So you can appreciate the different tasks that I have done in the Maritime Museum of Cantabria. In adittion of the programmed task for the practices, they are reflected other with a secondary character but also important for a museum. Then there are other aspects including objectives for these practices, as well as aspects of the institution itself, like its history and its structure. All these data have been organized into a several sections for a better monitoring and understanding of them by the reader. In this way we can see a few notions about the Maritime Museum of Cantabria, followed by the work done on it, both the original cataloging cartographic fund as secondary reorganization and management. As for the work done we can see that the cataloging process is the most developed, because it details how the cataloging has been specified, as well as the difficulties and particularities with a cataloger has to deal. In conclusion we can see a series of conclusions about these practices accompanied with a photo attached.
