Análisis y cartografía de la dinámica de la vegetación en la Montaña Media Cantábrica: Un sector de los valles de Iguña y Luena

Abstract

RESUMEN En las últimas décadas las áreas de la Montaña Media Cantábrica están sufriendo fuertes cambios en sus estructuras socioeconómicas que han llevado consigo modificaciones en la cobertera vegetal y usos del suelo. Debido a ello, el presente trabajo pretende realizar un análisis de la dinámica de la vegetación en un pequeño sector de esta montaña correspondiente a la hoja 83-II del Mapa Topográfico Nacional, la cual engloba una parte de los valles de Iguña y Luena. Para ello se analizarán los cambios de vegetación sufridos en el área de estudio durante los últimos cincuenta años, identificando y cartografiando las unidades de vegetación mediante el trabajo de gabinete y de campo. En primer lugar, se atenderá a los diferentes tipos de unidades de vegetación existentes en la actualidad y los factores que las influyen, y, en segundo lugar, se realizará una comparativa con la vegetación existente en el año 1953.

ABSTRACT In the last decades the areas of Medium Cantabrian Mountains are suffering great changes in their socio-economic structures that have brought along changes in the vegetation cover and land use. Due to this, this paper aims to make an analysis of the dynamics of vegetation in a small sector of these mountains corresponding to the sheet 83-II of the National Topographic Map which includes one part of Iguña and Luena valleys. For this reason the vegetation changes suffered in the study area during the last fifty years will be analyzed, identifying and mapping the vegetation units by desk and field work. First of all, it will be attended to the different types of vegetation units currently in existence and the factors that influence them, and, secondly, a comparison with the existing vegetation in 1953 will be maked.
