El juego libre: una práctica efectiva para trabajar la Educación Física en Educación Primaria

Abstract

RESUMEN: Es incuestionable el gran valor que tiene el juego, como actividad fundamental para el desarrollo y el aprendizaje desde edades tempranas. Con este trabajo, se pretende poner de relieve la importancia de algo más específico, el juego libre, también conocido como espontáneo o vivenciado. Éste da la oportunidad al niño de explorar, experimentar, descubrir, probar, investigar por sí mismo, desarrollar su creatividad…Este tipo de juego se da principalmente en la Etapa de Educación Infantil, pero debido a los numerosos beneficios que este tipo de actividad reporta, se plantea la posibilidad viable de continuar con esta práctica en Etapas educativas superiores. Para constatar la relevancia que tiene el juego libre, nos apoyamos en un marco teórico en el que diversos autores y corrientes pedagógicas, señalan las razones que llevan a la necesidad de incorporarlo en las prácticas educativas llevadas a cabo en la escuela. Pero también nos valemos de una serie de evidencias prácticas, siendo éstas llevadas a cabo por mí en un contexto real, como es un centro educativo.

ABSTRACT: It is unquestionable the great value that games have as a basic activity for children´s development and for their education since early ages. With this proyect, I want to highlight something more specific: “Free game” which is also known as a spontaneous game or experience game. With this kind of game, children can explore, experiment, discover, try out and investigate their own posibilities, and, so they can develop their creativity. This type of game is essential in the kindergarten. Free game has a lot of benefits, and for this reason, it should be good idea to develop it with children who are older (Primary Education or Secondary Education). To verify the relevante that Free game has, we will rely on a theoretical Framework in which several authors and current pedagogical tendencies highlight why Free game is so important at school. Besides, we have a lot of direct evidence that I have been able to gather in a real school environment.
