La vida social en las imágenes de los libros de texto en educación infantil

Abstract

RESUMEN Con la realización de este trabajo, quiero analizar las ilustraciones que aparecen en el método educativo “Nuevo Tris-tras”, material destinado a Educación Infantil, en concreto a niños de 5 años. Mi análisis está basado en la observación de diversas dimensiones, destacadas como importantes en la investigación sobre libros de textos escolares. Una vez que he observado si esas dimensiones aparecen o no en las imágenes que he seleccionado, he llegado a diversas conclusiones. La principal conclusión es que, como afirma Torres en sus artículos, la sociedad tiende a infantilizar el material educativo que se pone al alcance de los más pequeños, creando así un mundo irreal. A través de estereotipos, del uso de animales en vez de personas (personificación), de usar dibujos y no fotografías, se crea un vacío ante los problemas sociales de hoy en día, formando, así, una burbuja alrededor de los más pequeños, de manera que vivan en un mundo paralelo, ajenos a la realidad social.

ABSTRACT Carrying out this work, I would like to analyse the ilustrations that appear on the educative method “Nuevo Tris-tras”, an educative material destined to pre-school education, specifically children about five years old. My analysis is based on the observation of various important dimensions in the research of school textbooks. Once I have observed that the ilustrations appear on the pictures I have selected I have come to certain conclusions. The main conclusion is, like Torres declares on her articles, society tends to infantilize the educational material that is made avaliable to younger children, thus creating an unreal world. Through stereotypes like using animals instead of persons and drawing instead of photographs, a vacuum is created to social problems that we have nowadays. On this way, we create a bubble around younger children so that they live in a parallel world, outside the social reality.
