Resumen/Abstract
ABSTRACT Today, transport infrastructures are major nodes of economic activity, which are able to influence sociological and demographic aspects of the territories adjoining them. Working and economic opportunities are very relevant to the live of people when a population has to settle in a specific territory.
First of all, this dissertation will study the historical influence that the Port of Castellón has had on the town and surrounding areas through a chronological analysis of the evolution of the land comprising the study area.
We will analyze the links that have occurred among the population, territory and infrastructure and the consequences of these links.
Next we will describe the current state of the infrastructure, facilities and capabilities.
And finally we will suggest conclusions for the events so far. And by developing a SWOT analysis we will analyze the current situation and possible future scenarios.
