Método específico de lectura y escritura para alumnos con síndrome de Down

Abstract

RESUMEN: La lectoescritura es uno de los temas de especial relevancia en nuestra sociedad, ya que resulta fundamental para el desarrollo y la autonomía de las personas. Su enseñanza y aprendizaje es el pilar sobre el que se sustenta el resto de conocimientos, por eso es esencial una buena metodología, ya que de no ser así traerá consecuencias negativas en la construcción de las personas. Esto sucede con las personas con síndrome de Down, que hasta hace treinta años, se les privaba de este aprendizaje.Con numerosos estudios se ha confirmado que este pensamiento es erróneo y que pueden adquirirlo aplicando una metodología correcta. Uno de los métodos que se lleva a cabo y se ha confirmado su validez en la actualidad, es el método específico de lectura y escritura de María Victoria Troncoso y Mercedes del Cerro (1998). Este trabajo se basa en la observación del método de lectura y escritura y de la puesta en práctica de un proyecto, donde se interviene llevando a cabo actividades, adaptadas a los tres niveles de lectoescritura que hay en el Centro Ocupacional, puesto que se quiere observar, impartir y reflexionar el proceso y resultado del mismo.

ABSTRACT: The literacy is one of the issues of particular relevance in our society, because it depends the development and autonomy of people. Teaching and learning is the foundation on which all other knowledge is based; therefore, is essential a good methodology, because otherwise it will bring negative consequences in the construction of the person. This is what has happened to people with Down syndrome, that until 30 years, they were deprived of this learning. With numerous studies and theories has been confirmed that this thought is wrong and they can acquire it apply one correct methodology. One method that is carried out and its value has been confirmed today, is the novel method of reading and writing María Victoria Troncoso and Mercedes del Cerro (1998). This work is based on the observation of the method of reading and writing and the implementation of a project, where conducting activities involved, adapted to the three levels of literacy that is in the Occupational Center, since it was wants observe,impart and reflect on the process and outcome thereof.
