Resolución de problemas de matemáticas en Educación Primaria: influencia del contexto

Abstract

RESUMEN: Esta memoria presenta un estudio de caso que busca analizar la influencia del contexto y de otros elementos existentes en el enunciado de los problemas matemáticos en los procesos metales llevados a cabo por un estudiante de tercero de primaria. El sujeto ha resuelto trece problemas aritméticos específicamente diseñados para él, en los que se ha procurado destacar la relevancia de cada uno de los elementos investigados. Los resultados indican que la mayor influencia reside en el tamaño de los números que aparecen en el enunciado y en el contenido matemático implicado. Desde el punto de vista de las operaciones aritméticas, se ha observado que los significados que el sujeto posee sobre dichas operaciones ejercen una gran influencia en el éxito al resolver el problema, lo que puede constituir objeto de futuras investigaciones.

ABSTRACT: This report presents a case study that seeks to analyze the influence of context and other items of the statement of the mathematical problems in the mental processes carried out by a third grade student . The student has solved thirteen arithmetic problems specifically designed for him, which has sought to highlight the relevance of each of the research elements. The results indicate that the greatest influence lies in the size of the numbers that appear on the statement and the mathematical content involved. From the point of view of arithmetic operations, it has been observed that the meanings that the student has exert great influence on the success in solving the problem, which may be the subject of future research.
