La Revolución Bolivariana: análisis de un proyecto político alternativo

Abstract

RESUMEN Lo que denominamos Revolución Bolivariana, no es sino, la respuesta al enorme deterioro social político y económico en que se sumió Venezuela en los ochenta y noventa, cuando los venezolanos retiraron crecientemente su confianza a la democracia representativa y sus actores hegemónicos, ante la incapacidad para encontrar solución a la crisis. En este contexto de exclusión de las grandes mayorías y del enriquecimiento de las clases privilegiadas, surge una nueva forma de entender la política, que cristaliza en la figura de Hugo Chávez, y que inicia un proceso de transformación social y política. Es el objetivo de este trabajo, conocer y analizar el proyecto político "bolivariano" y los problemas que se le presentan a una sociedad fuertemente polarizada, debido a décadas de regresión socioeconómica y descomposición política, que han sido las consecuencias más perniciosas de la globalización neoliberal en la periferia del capitalismo.

ABSTRACT What we denominate Bolivian Revolution is nothing but the response to the huge social economic and political damage that Venezuela was immersed in the 80´s and 90´s. It was in this moment when the Venezuelan people stopped to rely on the representative democracy and in its hegemonic actors, because of the incapacity to find the solution for the crisis. In this context of exclusion of the large majorities and the enrichment of the privileged class, it rises up a new form to understand the politic. This new form is reflected on the figure of Hugo Chávez who starts a process of social and political transformation. The objective of this paper is to know and analyze the political project called “bolivariano” as well as to find the problems that it can be observed in a strongly polarized society, as a consequence of the socioeconomic regression and the political decomposition, that has been the most pernicious consequences of the neoliberal globalization in the periferia of the capitalism.
