Memoria de prácticas en la autoridad portuaria de Santander

Abstract

RESUMEN: La Autoridad Portuaria, perteneciente a la provincia marítima de Santander, es una entidad gestora del patrimonio dependiente del cuerpo público de Puertos del Estado; el cual es administrado, a su vez, por el Ministerio de Fomento. La institución consta de distintas secciones, que se encargan del cumplimiento de diversas funciones y actividades. Aquella que resulta de mayor interés para la realización de la presente memoria es la gestión del patrimonio cultural. Esta se lleva a cabo principalmente en tres lugares: por un lado, el Palacete, edificio situado en el paseo marítimo, que tras su reinauguración en el año 1985 se ha utilizado como sala de exposiciones. Otro edificio de vital importancia para la promoción cultural del patrimonio marítimo-portuario de Cantabria es el Faro de Cabo Mayor, donde se encuentra el Centro de Arte. Por otro lado, en las salas anejas al Edificio Sotoliva, también se celebran exposiciones y actos de índole similar. La Autoridad Portuaria cuenta, asimismo, con un Archivo General, una Biblioteca y una Hemeroteca. En especial, los objetivos de este trabajo son los siguientes: 1º Resumen de las actividades realizadas durante el tiempo de permanencia establecido, de 250 horas. Entre ellas la catalogación, digitalización y gestión del archivo, la biblioteca y el centro de documentación. 2º Resumen de las actividades de Gestión Cultural organizadas por la oficina de actividades culturales (exposiciones y actos culturales) 3º Exposición de conocimientos adquiridos sobre la conservación y revisión del material. 4º Explicación de las políticas de la institución en el terreno medioambiental, de prevención de riesgos… 5º Propuestas de mejora y acciones beneficiosas que podrían llevarse a cabo en el futuro.

ABSTRACT: Santander Port Authority is a managing entity of Heritage which belongs to the State Ports Body , administered by the Ministry of Development. The institution consists of various sections , which are responsible of various functions and activities. The most interesting of them in order to write this practice report, is the management of cultural heritage. This is carried out mainly in three places : on the one hand, the Palace Pier , built on the waterfront, which after its reopening in 1985 has been used as an exhibition hall. Another building of vital importance for the cultural promotion of maritime - port heritage of Cantabria is the Mayor Cape Lighthouse, where is located the Art Centre. Furthermore, the appended rooms to Sotoliva Bulding , also held exhibitions and events of similar nature. In adition to this, the Santander Port Authority has a General File, a Library and Newspaper library. In particular, the objectives of this report are the following: 1st Summary of activities made during the time set, 250 hours. Which includes cataloging, scanning and file management of the library and documentation center. 2nd Summary of Cultural Management activities organized by the office of cultural activities (exhibitions and cultural events ) 3rd Summary of acquired knowledge about preservation and revision of the material content. 4th Explanation of the policies of this institution in or environmental and risk prevention fields. 5th Improvement proposals and beneficial actions that could be undertaken in the future.
