Resumen/Abstract
Construction lndustry faces the challenge of contaminated soil. Viborg shooting range is lead contaminated as a consequence of the using of lead ammunition.
Lead soil contamination is characterized by means of the preliminary study and the analyses of the level of pollution, the 3-D distribution, as well as the distribution of the contamination depending on the soil grain size.
Lead removal test is developed in order to study the feasibility of soil washing techniques, using physic separation combined with chemical extraction testing two different chelant agents such as EDTA and GLDA.
Lead removal proposal is based on the results of the test and the analysis of the literature. The goal of the remediation proposal is to find an eco-friendly and cost-effective solution, that being technically possible ensures that the cleaned soil can be returned to the site.
