Abstract

Abstract The Revolution of the Carnations has been one of the most important events in the last quarter of the Twentieth Century`s History. Since the begining of the bloodless coup on April 25th of 1974, Portugal has came through an incredible dynamic political course until nowadays. A revolution that influenced, in some way, nearly all the processes of democratization in the last fourty years all over the world, flooding the academic field with a lot of comparative studies. Our goal is to understand the main nature of the revolution and how and in which way it influenced those democratization processes.
