El casco histórico de Castro-Urdiales: valor patrimonial y usos terciarios

Abstract

RESUMEN: La reciente terciarización y sus consecuencias afectan, a día de hoy, a numerosos centros históricos españoles. En relación con ello, se trata de realzar el valor patrimonial de cada uno de ellos, con el fin de evitar futuros daños. Un ejemplo de estos centros históricos es el de Castro-Urdiales (Cantabria). Desde las últimas décadas las dinámicas de las actividades terciarias, cada vez mayores, han influido razonablemente y de forma directa en él, y como consecuencia, en su patrimonio. A lo largo de este trabajo analizamos estos procesos y sus consecuencias, a partir de este caso de estudio en concreto, con el fin de hacer más perceptibles las problemáticas derivadas y las posibles propuestas alternativas

ABSTRACT: Nowadays, the recent outsourcing and its consequences are affecting many old towns in Spain. According to this, what it has to be done is to enhance the legacy value of each of them, in order to avoid future damages. One example of these old towns is the Castro Urdiales one (Cantabria). From the last decades, the dynamics of tertiary activities, which are increasing, have directly influenced it, and as a consequence, his legacy. Along this work we analyze these processes and its consequences, staring from this specific study case, with the purpose of make more perceptible the derivative problematic and the possible alternative proposals.
