Educar las emociones a través del álbum ilustrado

Abstract

RESUMEN El término “Inteligencia Emocional” comenzó a utilizarse tan solo dos décadas atrás, cuando los científicos Salovey y Mayer asentaron los cimientos de su teoría sobre el conocimiento y control de las emociones. Posteriormente, otras teorías han surgido a partir de ella. La educación emocional tiene por objetivo llevar estos modelos científicos a las aulas, para conseguir una educación más integral, global y de calidad. La literatura, concretamente los álbumes ilustrados, pueden ser un recurso excelente para guiar estos aprendizajes, debido en primer lugar a su capacidad para suscitar emociones a través de la lectura, y por otro, debido a su capacidad de representar estas emociones a través de las ilustraciones. En este documento se tratará de exponer, a modo de ejemplo, una propuesta para la etapa de educación infantil en la que se conjuguen ambos elementos.

ABSTRACT The concept "Emotional Intelligence" was first used just two decades ago when scientists Salovey and Mayer laid the foundations of his theory of knowledge and control of emotions. Subsequently, other theories have emerged from it. Emotional education aims to bring these scientific models into the classroom for a more integrated, comprehensive and quality education. The literature, particularly picture books can be an excellent resource to guide this learning, primarily due to its ability to elicit emotions through reading, and secondly, because of its ability to represent these emotions through illustrations. This paper will attempt to expose, by way of example, a proposal for early childhood education in which the two elements are combine.
