Resumen El uso de los álbumes ilustrados como herramienta pedagógica en las aulas es habitual ya que permite a los alumnos/as construir y asimilar su identidad personal, además de favorecer otras habilidades y destrezas individuales. Con su lectura y manipulación también pueden conocer el mundo que les rodea y enfrentarse a situaciones que, en la vida real, no son capaces. En este sentido, con su utilización, los docentes podrán fomentar en los pequeños una actitud crítica frente a situaciones que reflejen estereotipos, valores y prejuicios culturales vinculados a ambos sexos. Por todo ello, pretendo realizar un pequeño análisis sobre la imagen que transmiten “los cinco álbumes ilustrados más vendidos en las librerías de la comunidad autónoma de Cantabria durante el año 2013”, con el objetivo de observar si se vislumbran estos aspectos en dichos materiales o, si por el contrario, se han creado libros más coeducativos
Abstract The use of picture books as a teaching tool in classrooms is common because it allows students to build and assimilate their personal identity, apart from developing other individual skills. By reading and handling can also learn about the world around them and deal with situations which, in real life, are not capable. In this sense, by using them, teachers can encourage in children a critical attitude towards situations that reflect stereotypes, prejudices and cultural values attached to both sexes. Therefore, I try to make a small review about the image they convey "the five picture books most sold in bookstores in the autonomous community of Cantabria in 2013", in order to see if these issues are emerging in these materials or, by contrast, have created more coeducational books.
