Abstract

ABSTRACT: In this practise report about my external activities in the Regional Management of Cadastre, I have tried to show the results of my work throughout 120 hours in wich I have learnt how to use the basical IT-cadastral tools, as well as the cartographical information located in this Regional Management. Moreover, I wanted to shape the relationship between the Spanish History and Cadastral History along this professional project. On the other hand, we have to pay special attention to the vital importance of land administration in the current society. The Cadastre has served as an important State's instrument of tax management in Spain since eighteenth century. Nowadays, its significance not only lies on this point, in fact, the Cadastre is used as an historical source about agriculture and livestock in Spain, as well as the properties' distribution. We, as historians, must attend to the special relevance of the latest outstanding aspects. So, throughout this practise report, I have tried to remark these aspects. Over the 120 hours of my practical activities, I have carried out several tasks related to the cadastral management as it has included in the sixth section of this work. There, I have been included the main tasks that I have done, like the crossing between alphanumeric and graphical information, commonly referred as identities crossing. In order to ending this brief presentation, I would like to thank the useful help provided by don Eloy Gómez Pellón, my TFG manager, as well as my external tutor, don Alberto Blázquez García and all staff working in the Regional Management of Cadastre. Also, while I have been drafting this practise report I have given special attention to the regulations prescribed in the 'Reglamento del Trabajo de Fin de Grado (TFG) de la Facultad de Filosofía y Letras.
