Resumen/Abstract
The Inquisition lives in a period of acute crisis in the last years of Carlos
II reign. His finances are into a deep deficit, his bureocracy has lost
prestige and there aren't many people that want to become familiares. La
Junta Magna of 1696, that was formed with consejeros from all of the Monarchy
Consejos, proposed to cut back drasticly the Inquisitions privileges.
lts proposition won't be approved. The Felipe V arriva will make the troubles
aven bigger. On one side, the most tradítional factions into the lnquisition
will pretend to recover the Jost ground. On the other, the Monarchy will
accentuate its pressures in arder to control the Inquisition. After a first moment
with serious fights, the Monarchy will momentarily aucceed in imposing
its politic. In fact the lnquisition will support the Borbone's cause. For prove
its working. In that effort it will appear with ali its dimension the interna!
situation the measures in order to cut back the crisis and the Monarchy
ways to control the lnquisition. Notwithstanding, the troubles will continue
and the Inquisition will keep its independence from the Monarchy and the
fights will appear with more violence afterwards.
