Astroturismo: luz de estrellas, sombra de la tierra

Abstract

El actual trabajo de fin de grado engloba el astroturismo como una modalidad emergente de turismo sostenible basada en la observación del cielo nocturno. Esta práctica permite acercar la astronomía a la sociedad, fomentando la protección de los cielos oscuros y promoviendo un turismo más responsable y sostenible. Este proyecto se enfoca en evaluar y analizar tanto el impacto como las oportunidades que enfrenta esta tipología turística. Para ello, se compara su evolución no solo en España, sino también en el mundo. También se define un perfil de astroturista basándose en su satisfacción y expectativas. A su vez, se presentan varias recomendaciones y estrategias para impulsar su desarrollo sostenible, mejorando la experiencia del turista y promoviendo su posicionamiento en el mercado.

This final degree project encompasses astro-tourism as an emerging form of sustainable tourism based on night sky observation. This practice brings astronomy closer to society, encouraging the protection of dark skies and promoting more responsible and sustainable tourism. This project focuses on evaluating and analysing both the impact and the opportunities faced by this type of tourism. To do so, it compares its evolution not only in Spain, but also in the world. It also defines an astro-tourist profile based on their satisfaction and expectations. In turn, several recommendations and strategies are presented to boost its sustainable development, improving the tourist experience and promoting its positioning in the market.
