Resumen/Abstract
Four-wave mixing is a non-linear process that can be produced into a semimagnetic semiconductor microcavity under the appropriate conditions of frequency and input angles of the optical pumping and the input signal. The analysis of the microcavity by means of an extended Yeh matrix demonstrates the generation of the four-wave mixing into this device, and provides a good agreement with the experimental measurements previously obtained. This process produces the generation of a new wave, called conjugated, and a huge amplification of the input signal in the reflection configuration, allowing to use this device in wavelength conversion and optical amplification.
