Resumen/Abstract
An Octave-Bandwidth Magic Tee with high performance is designed and constructed in this research. With a fractional bandwidth more than 66%, this circuit is based on two combined turnstile junction OMTs with 3 physical ports. When both OMTs combined through their circular common ports they result a Magic Tee with 4 ports in the band 8-16 GHz. The designed Magic-Tee exhibits a return loss better than 25 dB at any port and an isolation of 60 dB over the full bandwidth. This design can be used in applications of satellite communication, astronomy and radars thanks to its enhanced design, cost and performances regarding standard waveguide bands.
