El cristianismo eslavo ortodoxo en la Edad Media

Abstract

Cuando los pueblos eslavos llegaron al este de Europa durante el comienzo del periodo medieval, iniciaron un proceso de evolución política, económica y social que terminó por configurarlos como reinos, cada uno asentado en una cultura e ideas propias. En el presente trabajo se busca analizar el fuerte peso que tuvo el factor religioso en la consolidación de estos reinos eslavos y su impacto en todos los aspectos mencionados anteriormente. El trabajo está enfocado concretamente en aquellos reinos que optaron por la vertiente ortodoxa del cristianismo, para así tratar de profundizar en aquellos aspectos que hacen a esta sección de los eslavos diferente de sus vecinos.

When the Slavic peoples arrived in Eastern Europe during the beginning of the medieval period, they began a process of political, economic and social evolution that ended up configuring them as kingdoms, each one based on its own culture and ideas. In the present work we seek to analyze the strong weight that the religious factor had in the consolidation of these Slavic kingdoms and its impact on all the aspects mentioned above. The work is focused specifically on those kingdoms that opted for the orthodox side of Christianity, in order to try to deepen in those aspects that make this section of the Slavs different from their neighbors.
