Este Trabajo Fin de Máster explora el papel de la literatura norteamericana desde una perspectiva de raza y de género, es decir, a partir de lo que se conoce como interseccionalidad. Asimismo, analiza los beneficios que podría traer consigo la introducción de dicha perspectiva como soporte didáctico dentro del aula de inglés. En primer lugar, se efectúa una aproximación conceptual para conocer términos que se usarán posteriormente. A continuación, se realizará un recorrido histórico del papel de la literatura en la enseñanza y aprendizaje de lenguas extranjeras, se abordarán también los diferentes métodos y enfoques en el panorama educativo español, así como del papel del docente. En el último apartado del marco teórico se examinarán los conceptos de lengua, literatura y cultura, además de la estrecha relación que existe entre ellos. Por ultimo, se presentará una propuesta didáctica basada en la novela Americanah (2013) de la autora nigeriana Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie.
This Master's thesis explores the role of North-American literature from a racial and gender perspective, that is, from what is known as intersectionality. It also analyses the benefits that the introduction of this perspective as a didactic support in the English classroom could bring. First of all, a conceptual approach is made in order to get to know the terms that will be used later on. Next, a historical overview of the role of literature in the teaching and learning of foreign languages will be given, as well as the different methods and approaches in the Spanish educational panorama and the role of the teacher. In the last section of the theoretical framework, the concepts of language, literature and culture will be examined, along with the close relationship between them. Finally, a didactic proposal based on the novel Americanah (2013) by the Nigerian author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie will be presented.
