Producción científica sobre actividad física y Educación Primaria: análisis bibliométrico (1999-2023)

Abstract

La actividad física y la Educación Primaria es un tema que atrae cada vez más la atención de los investigadores, pero no se conoce la evolución y características de este campo de conocimiento. Por tanto, el objetivo de este estudio fue desarrollar un análisis bibliométrico de la producción científica sobre la actividad física y la Educación Primaria, enfocándose en la productividad, los temas y la colaboración. Se analizaron todos los artículos y revisiones relacionadas con la actividad física y la Educación Primaria publicados hasta el año 2023 en las bases de datos Scopus y Web of Science. En cuanto a los resultados, se obtuvieron 331 artículos publicados entre 1999 y 2023, participando una media de 4,53 autores por artículo y un promedio de colaboración del 96,43%. El campo científico más representado fue Ciencias de la Vida, con 112 artículos, y la principal revista para la diseminación fue la International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health, con 105 artículos publicados. En conclusión, la producción científica sobre actividad física y Educación Primaria se ha publicado principalmente durante los últimos cinco años, en colaboración y con investigaciones sobre Ciencias de la Vida, reflejando los intereses y enfoques de los académicos y científicos.

Physical activity and Primary Education is a topic that is increasingly attracting the attention of researchers, but the evolution and characteristics of this field of knowledge are not well known. Therefore, the aim of this study was to develop a bibliometric analysis of the scientific production on physical activity and Primary Education, focusing on productivity, topics and collaboration. All articles and reviews related to physical activity and Primary Education published up to the year 2023 in the Scopus and Web of Science databases were included. Regarding the results, 331 articles published between 1999 and 2023 were obtained, with an average of 4.53 authors per article and a collaboration rate of 96.43%. The most represented scientific field was Life Sciences, with 112 articles, and the main journal for dissemination was the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health, with 105 articles published. In conclusion, scientific production on physical activity and Primary Education has been published mainly during the last five years, in collaboration and with a focus on the Life Sciences, reflecting the interests and approaches of academics and scientists.
