Análisis de la importancia de la sostenibilidad en los hoteles de España

Abstract

España es un país muy visitado por los turistas debido a la variedad de actividades que les ofrece. De hecho, el sector del que forman parte estas actividades, el turismo, supone una importante fuente de ingresos para el país. Los negocios más relevantes del sector son los alojamientos, los transportes y la restauración. Sin embargo, puede ser un problema que estas actividades se desarrollen sin unas normas que las regulen. Esto se puede apreciar en los hoteles, los alojamientos más frecuentados por los viajeros. Para ello la sostenibilidad repercute un papel muy importante, ya que vela por el consumo de sus recursos, como son el agua y la energía, para que sea apropiado y responsable. De esta forma, el estudio de las instalaciones, ocio y servicios que ofrecen es un punto interesante para comenzar a implementar actividades sostenibles, ya que además de beneficiar su entorno, dará más visibilidad a este movimiento que cada vez acapara más la atención de instituciones importantes para su intervención

Spain is a country highly visited by tourists due to the variety of activities it offers. In fact, the sector it belongs to, tourism, is an important source of income for the country. The most relevant businesses in the sector are accomodations, transports and restaurants. Nevertheless, it can be a problem if these activities are carried out without rules that regulate them. This can be seen in hotels, the accomodations most frequented by travelers. For this, sustainability plays a very important role, since it encourages the consumptions of its resources, such as water and energy, to be appropiate and responsible. In this way, the study of the setting-up, leisure and services they offer, it´s an interesting start to implement sustainable activities. Besides benefiting their environment, it will also give more visibility to this movement that attracts, more and more attention, of important institutions for their intervention
