En este trabajo se analizará la evolución del extremismo y el terrorismo para los años 2006-2022, los factores económicos que lo generan y las instituciones europeas de cooperación que lo combaten. Se estudió el desarrollo de este fenómeno categorizando sus posibles vertientes ideológicas y motivacionales: Yihadistas, etno-nacionalistas y separatistas, de extrema izquierda (Left Wing y/o Anarquista), de extrema derecha (Right Wing o Far-Right) y casos especiales, aportando una visión desglosada que permita encontrar diferencias en los factores que los originan. En este marco institucional: "Camino Europeo hacia un espacio de libertad, seguridad y justicia" recogen como máxima diversos programas de objetivos europeos. En un mundo globalizado, rapidamente cambiante y con visiones enfrentadas, el extremismo surge como amenaza a la libertad, la paz, y, consecuentemente, a la prosperidad que los ciudadanos han construido a lo largo de décadas; a través de este trabajo se busca desvelar los posibles factores que deben considerarse a la hora de establecer políticas preventivas, además de entender las tendencias de los años más recientes y el posible desarrollo futuro. This study will analyze the evolution of extremism and terrorism for the period 2006–2022, the economic factors that generate this phenomenon, and the European cooperation institutions that fight against it. The development of this phenomenon was studied by categorizing its ideological and motivational aspects: Jihadists, ethno-nationalists and separatists, the extreme left (Left Wing/Anarchist), the extreme right (Right Wing or Far-Right) and special cases, providing a broken down analysis that allows us to find differences among the factors that cause them. In this institutional framework: “European Path towards freedom, security and justice” is included as a theme in various programs of European objectives. In a globalized, rapidly changing world with competing visions, extremism emerges as a threat to freedom, peace, and, consequently, to the prosperity that citizens have built over decades. Through this study, we seek to reveal the possible factors that must be considered when establishing preventive policies, in addition to understanding the trends of the most recent years and the possible future developments.
