Resumen/Abstract
Global system performance of the 30 GHz
Planck mission radiometer has been simulated to debug
critical specs of individual components reducing the
number of required prototypes. Special emphasis was put
on trading off effective bandwidth and sensitivity. Other
figures of merit evaluated were gain and noise
temperature balance between Front End Module (FEM)
and Back End Module (BEM) of the radiometer.
Nevertheless real operation of the radiometer will be in
switched mode for 1/f noise suppression, total power
mode was considered for the simulation, which is enough
to check the referred parameters in a quasi-static
approach. The simulations were done in the frequency
domain using ideal models and measurement based
models.
