El sistema electoral para la elección al Congreso de los Diputados y su posible reforma

Abstract

Tras las numerosas elecciones generales celebradas en nuestro país durante los últimos años, fundamentalmente por las dificultades para formar gobierno, son muchas las críticas que se han ido depositando sobre el sistema electoral. Hay quienes consideran que es desproporcionado o que incluso incumple con la igualdad constitucionalmente protegida. Por ello son muchas las voces que solicitan una reforma del mismo, pero antes de determinar si efectivamente es posible, es preciso conocer más a fondo sus elementos y cómo un cambio en ellos puede afectar considerablemente el desarrollo del propio sistema. Así pues, se invita a todos los interesados en esta materia que echen un vistazo al trabajo realizado, para familiarizarse aún más con un derecho que ejercen un domingo cada cuatro años.

Following the numerous general elections held in our country in recent years, fundamentally because of the difficulties in forming a government, there are many criticisms that have been deposited on the electoral system. There are those who consider that it is disproportionate or even that it violates constitutionally protected equality. That is why there are many voices that request a reform of it, but before determining if it is indeed possible, it is necessary to know more about its elements and how a change in them can significally affect the development of the system itself. Therefore, all those interested in this matter are invited to take a look at the work done, to become even more familiar with a right they exercise one Sunday every four years.
